Austin Sherris is a debut novelist originally from California’s Bay Area, now calling Portland, Oregon home. A lifelong lover of stories, Sherris was inspired to write their first novel after a simple walk past a bookstore sparked an idea that blossomed into an exploration of responsibility, guilt, the weight of our pasts, and the uncertainty of our futures. With a background in screenwriting, playwriting, and a stint in the entertainment industry, Sherris brings a cinematic sensibility and a deep curiosity for character to their fiction. This novel marks the beginning of a planned trilogy—an ambitious return to the storytelling passion that first set Sherris on the creative path.
